On Monday, 4 December, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow will hold a hearing on extending the preventive measure against Vasily Neustroyev, a Yabloko member. Neustroyev should take part in the hearing personally, so should be brought to court from the detention centre – and there will be an opportunity to see him in person.
It is likely that the hearing will be closed, but listeners may be allowed to be present at the beginning of the hearing and at the end at pronouncing the sentence.
The hearing will take place in room 31 of the Basmanny Court (the address: Moscow, Kalanchevskaya 11) on 4 December at 11:30.
It should noted that Vasily Neustroyev, the Chairman of the Frunzensky local branch of the St. Petersburg Yabloko, is charged under six criminal articles at once: organisation of an extremist community, rehabilitating Nazism, spreading fake news about the army, creating an NGO that infringes on the rights of citizens, involvement in mass riots and public calls for activities directed against the security of the state, due to the activities of the activist movement Vesna (Spring). At the same time, Vasily Neustroyev has nothing to do with the movement Vesna and has not been a member of it.
