Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov visited the Krasnoyarsk Territory to support the party’s candidates in the upcoming elections to the Krasnoyarsk City Council and the by-elections to the State Duma and to speak on local media with an appeal to the residents of the region to vote for peace and freedom, as Yabloko candidates participate in the elections under this slogan and Yabloko is the only Russian political party calling for peace.

The list of Yabloko  in the elections to the Krasnoyarsk City Council of Deputies includes 18 candidates. The list is topped by Viktor Zagorodnikov, Andrei Kucheryavy and Yaroslav Pitersky. In addition, Yabloko candidate Andrei Kucheryavy is running for State Duma deputies in the by-elections in the Divnogorsk single-mandate constituency No 56.

During his trip, Nikolai Rybakov held a meeting with Yabloko candidates for deputies and members of the party. He thanked the candidates for the courage they showed by participating in the elections at such a difficult time. The head of the party also answered questions from his fellow party members about the current situation in the country and the prospects for Yabloko’s participation in the presidential campaign.

The Chairwoman of the Krasnoyarsk branch of the party, Lyudmila Zakhartsova, also spoke at the meeting. She told about the campaign to collect signatures to register the list of Yabloko candidates in the elections and about the difficulties Yabloko faced during the campaign.

Nikolai Rybakov also met with journalists from local media: he spoke on the TVK channel and gave an interview to the NGS-24.RU media. In addition, the head of Yabloko visited the village of Ovsyanka and donated new books to the library-museum of famous Russian writer Viktor Astafyev.

It should be noted that 164 candidates from Yabloko were registered for the upcoming elections in September. Representatives of the party conduct election campaigns in 13 regions of Russia. The general slogan of all election campaigns of the Yabloko party is “For peace and freedom!”.
