The Moscow Yabloko collected 50 boxes of humanitarian aid for refugees from Ukraine

On 14 November, activists of the Moscow branch of the Yabloko party delivered 50 boxes of humanitarian aid to the office of the Civic Assistance Committee. Clothes and food-stuffs were collected by Muscovites as part of the campaign launched by Yabloko on 25 October.
Our task was to collect and donate to refugees warm clothes and other things before winter begins. Together with Moscovites we succeeded: 24 boxes of adult clothes, 11 boxes of children’s clothes, 6 boxes of hygiene products, 8 boxes with food-stuffs, as well as houseware, bedding, a pram and a laptop were handed over to the Committee staff.
The Civic Assistance Committee has been helping migrants for almost 30 years, protecting their rights. The Committee is chaired by Svetlana Gannushkina, a human rights defender and member of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko.
According to the Civic Assistance Committee, more than 30 families come to the foundation’s office daily, on average, about 100 people. For six months, the Civil Assistance Committee helped more than 4,000 people who came from the territory of Ukraine.
Nasrin Jalolova, Coordinator for the warehouse and humanitarian aid, conveyed gratitude from the Civic Assistance Committee to Yabloko members.
“The world rests on caring, warm-hearted people who are not able to just pass by, but are always ready to help and provide support. The Civic Assistance Committee expresses its deep gratitude to the Yabloko party for their care and participation in helping refugees, who need our support more than ever. Your help is extremely important,” Nasrin Jalolova wrote.
Yabloko thanks everyone who did not stand aside and helped people who lost their homes, jobs and much more.
Refugees from Ukraine still need help. Clothing, essentials, equipment, children’s clothes can be brought to the office of the Civic Assistance Committee at the address: Moscow, Olimpiysky Prospect 10 k.1-2.
