On Monday, 23 May, Andrei Babushkin commemoration meeting will be held at the Moscow office of Yabloko (Pyatnitskaya, 31 building 2).
Andrei Babushkin, human rights defender, Chairman of the Committee for Civil Rights, a member of the President’s Council on Human Rights and Yabloko Bureau member, passed away on 14 May.
Andrei Babushkin joined the Yabloko party in 1999. He was repeatedly elected to the federal governing bodies of the party and the governing bodies of its Moscow branch. In recent years, he was a member of the Federal Bureau of Yabloko and the Regional Council of the Moscow branch of the party.
Friends and colleagues of Andrei Babushkin will share their memories of Andrei and recite the poems that he wrote. Also fragments of his speeches will be broadcasted.
