A new book “A Civilisation Falling Behind” by Sergei Mitrokhin and Galina Mikhaleva will be launched on 31 May

A new book “A Civilisation Falling Behind. How and Why Russia Failed to Become a Law-Governed State” by Sergei Mitrokhin and Galina Mikhaleva will be launched in the Moscow office of Yabloko (Pyatnitskaya, 31 bldg. 2) on Tuesday, 31 May, at 18:00.
Why Russia has deviated from the main path of development? The authors answer this question basing on the approaches to the world development and the origin of capitalism formed by the great German sociologist Max Weber.
About the authors:
Sergei Mitrokhin is Candidate of Political Sciences, a member of the Federal Political Committee of the Yabloko party, and a deputy of the Moscow City Duma.
Galina Mikhaleva is Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor at the Russian State Humanitarian University, and head of the Centre for Interaction with Civil Society of the Yabloko party.
The broadcast of the presentation will also be available on the Yabloko’s Youtube channel.
After the presentation, everyone will be able to receive a copy of the book signed by the authors.
The electronic version of the book will be published in the Library Section of the Yabloko website after 31 May.
