Yabloko’s branch in Kalmykia gave negative assessment to regional officials at a rally dedicated to the Constitution of the Republic

On 30 March, the Kalmyk regional branch of the Yabloko party held a rally dedicated to the Constitution (the Steppe Code) of the Republic of Kalmykia. The rally discussed not only the problems of the Constitution of the Republic of Kalmykia, but also a wide range of issues related to the basic law of Kalmykia: what rights and powers are provided by the Constitution and how they are implemented in practice.
In addition, the speakers touched upon the issues of housing and utilities services, rise of prices and taxes, the division of powers between the federal centre and the Republic, low living standards in Kalmykia, and the deterioration of the financial situation of for its residents.
The rally adopted a resolution, which contains a brief analysis of the present situation in Russia and Kalmykia, negative assessment of the activities of present Kalmyk officials and deputies, and proposals of the regional branch of the Yabloko party addressed to the people and authorities of Kalmykia.
