Pavel Sulyandziga signed YABLOKO’s Memorandum
Press release, 02.06.2016
A meeting between YABLOKO Chair Emilia Slabunova and Pavel Sulyandziga, Deputy Chair of the UN Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises has taken place today. Sulyandziga signed YABLOKO’s Memorandum of Political Alternative. The consent to the document is one of the conditions one needs to accept to be nominated a party candidate for a State Duma deputy.
“The problems of small-numbered peoples underlie within the country, one cannot solve them without participating in the political processes. Why did I choose YABLOKO? I have always voted for YABLOKO, and the party is close to me in values,” Sulyandziga said.
“To my deep regret, the ideas of honour, dignity, honesty have left the political life in our country. And YABLOKO activists are the very people who I am not ashamed of shaking hands with,” Sulyandziga concluded.
Sulyandziga’s candidacy will be discussed at YABLOKO Congress in June.
The elections to the State Duma will take place on 18 September, 2016.
