YABLOKO nominated candidates lists to seven regional parliaments

YABLOKO candidates will participate in regional and municipal elections in 44 territorial entities of Russia. In particular, the party nominated candidates lists to seven regional Legislative Assemblies in seventeen capital City Dumas.

YABLOKO will run for the Legislative Assemblies of the Novosibirsk, Kostroma, Voronezh, Kaluga, Ryazan, Chelyabinsk regions and the Republic of Komi.

YABLOKO candidates will participate in the election to the capital City Dumas of Astrakhan, Vladimir, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kaluga, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Orel, Syktyvkar, Smolensk, Tambov, Tomsk, Ulyanovsk, Izhevsk. YABLOKO will also participate in municipal elections in the Moscow and Pskov regions and in a number of other regions.

The Ulyanovsk branch of YABLOKO will conduct a conference on nomination of the candidates list on July 24. YABLOKO have already nominated its candidates in the other regions of Russia.

idates list to the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk region will be headed by Ivan Starikov, the second place goes to entrepreneur Daniel Fyodorov, the third to Lawyer Vladimir Akinshin.

Ivan Starikov was vice-Mayor of the city, deputy Minister of Economic Affairs of Russia, the Federation Council (upper House of Perliament) member. He ran in gubernatorial election three times. In 1999 he went in the second round together with Victor Tolokonsky and lost only two percent of votes. In 2014 Starikov resigned from the Mayoral Office after he once again filed the documents to run in the gubernatorial elections but the election commission rejected the municipal deputies’ signatures.

Alexandra Nalobina, Chair of the local YABLOKO branch, will head the candidates list to the City Council.

The Kostroma branch of YABLOKO nominated a candidates list to the Kostroma region Duma and and a list of candidates in single mandate constituencies. The list to the regional Duma will be headed by Vladimir Mikhaylov, the current deputy of the Kostroma regional Duma.

The second place goes to Alexandr Lazutin, head of the non-commercial Agricultural Union of Kostroma. The third goes Valentina Yamshchikova, environmentalist and Chair of local YABLOKO branch.

YABLOKO list to the Voronezh region Duma is headed by Tatyana Shkred, head of the entrepreneurs’ union of the Voronezh region and Chair of local YABLOKO branch. The second on the list is Inna Kudryashova, member of the Public Chamber of the Voronezh region. The third is Victor Khlebostroyev, dean of computer science department at Boronezh State University. Kudryashova and Khlebostroyev are also deputy Chairs of the Voronezh branch of YABLOKO.

The candidates list to the City Council represents the coalition of democrats of Voronezh. YABLOKO’s Tatyana Shkred head the list, second goes Valdislav Khodakovsky, co-Chair of the Democratic Choice local branch, th third is Boris Supryenok from PARNAS.

The list to the Ivanovo City Duma will be headed by Danila Berdayev, Chair of local YABLOKO branch.

YABLOKO list of candidates to the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma is headed by Andrei Khomov, director of the Nizhny Novgorov branch of Moscow State University of communication lines. The second goes Andrei Vinogradov, Chair of the local YABLOKO branch and third is Andrei Lebedinsky, associate professor of zoology at Nizhny Novgorod State University.

The Ryazan branch of YABLOKO also nominated the candidates list to the Ryazan region Duma. The top three candidates are Pavel Senin, IT entrepreneur and Chair of the Ryazan YABLOKO branch, Nina Zotova, civil activist and founder of stray animals help organisation “Best friends”, Valyentin Baymentov, head of the City Council deputies in Miloslavskoye regional centre.

The Udmurtia branch of YABLOKO nominated candidates for deputies of the Izhevsk City Duma. The list is headed by Mikhail Nazarov, Chair of the Udmurtia branch of YABLOKO and head of small and medium-sized business trade union, Sofya Rusova, YABLOKO Chairman adviser, journalist an historian, participant of all protest action in the region since 2005, Nikolai Suvorov, memeber of regional public group For rule of law.

Th list of candidates to the Tambov City Duma is headed by Vasily Yeremin, editor-in-chief of MK-Tomsk and associate professor. The second and third on the list are Vladimir Dolgikh, military reporter, and Igor Odintsov, lawyer and Chair of local YABLOKO branch.

Chair of the Moscow region branch of YABLOKO Alexander Gunko will run for Mayor of the Domodedovo city, the Moscow region.

“We have reliable and competent people in our electoral lists, they understand the problems of their region well, they are not strangers in the region or VIPs nominated to “show off” the list. We believe in the them and their victory and will support them in every way,” YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin said.

The elections will take place on September 13, the single voting day.
