The Ivanovo branch of Yabloko appealed to the Investigative Committee in connection with the non-payment of compensations promised to drivers of the city ambulance
Press Release, 18.05.2020
On 18 May, Andrei Avtoneyev, Chairman of the Ivanovo regional branch of the Yabloko party, and employees of the emergency medical station, filed a complaint with the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Ivanovo Region.
Earlier, employees of this medical institution applied to the Ivanovo branch Yabloko with information about non-payment of compensation promised by the President for medical stuff working with COVID patients. Activists of the Ivanovo branch of Yabloko emphasise that they do not publish personal data of doctors, but all information, including payroll sheets, is available at the regional office.
According to the data from a payroll sheet for April 2020, an ambulance station employee was allocated 26,250 roubles after deduction of the personal income tax. And no additional payments for working with COVID patients, as promised by the Russian President, were made.
“They said that we do not work with COVID patients, so no such payments are envisaged [for us]. But! I personally brought patients into the “black zone” on a stretcher and without any protection, except for a mask!”, the author of the appeal told to the Ivanovo branch of Yabloko.
The party’s regional branch is convinced that this gross violation of rights is not the only one in the healthcare system of the Ivanovo region. Therefore, the regional branch of the Yabloko party opens a telephone hotline for protection of the rights of medical workers.
