“The elections were not free, the Pskov Yabloko survived”. The Pskov Yabloko Regional Council summed up the results of the parliamentary elections

The Regional Council of the Pskov branch of Yabloko made a statement on the results of the elections of the deputies of the Pskov Regional Assembly. According to the Council, the official voting results were falsified and unreliable, the regional electoral commission acted in line with the federal destructive policy, cancellation of the registration of Lev Shlosberg and Nikolai Kuzmin was unlawful, Vsevolod Kozlovsky became the actual winner in single-mandate constituency No. 5 (Velikiye Luki) and the party intends to prove this in court.
“The political authorities of the Pskov region set as their goal in the elections in 2021 squeezing the Pskov Yabloko out of the legal political system and destroying us as an independent opposition political force in the region. The authorities used all the resources available to them to achieve this.
“We believe that not a single figure in the final protocol on the election results is honest. It is impossible to fully reconstruct reliable voting results. Official voting results can only be used to research the level and methods of fraud,” the statement runs.
Thus, according to the results of the first two days of voting in the Pskov region, the turnout was 28.18% in the elections to the State Duma, and 27.25% in the elections to the Pskov Regional Assembly of Deputies. Dozens of thousands of voters were forced to change their place of voting. The basis of the so-called the official voting results was formed in these two days. This completely destroyed the real picture of the vote.
Under these conditions, the Pskov branch of Yabloko, with the support of voters, was able to withstand political pressure, overcome the information blockade, conduct a high-quality election campaign, preserve the faction in the regional parliament and the status of a parliamentary party in the region. This task was the minimum necessary, and it was solved. We thank the voters for their political position and loyalty.
The Pskov Yabloko remains the only consistent democratic opposition in the Pskov region.”
