The Dagestan branch of YABLOKO will run in the elections with a new leader

On 1 June, the conference of the Dagestan branch of YABLOKO elected Albert Esedov, famous regional journalist and public activist, Chairman of the party branch.
The conference listened to a report on the performance of the branch for the period 2014 – 2016 and adopted the action plan for the September elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the People’s Assembly of Dagestan.
The conference also elected new Council of the branch. Albert Esedov was unanimously elected Chairman of the Dagestan YABLOKO, he was also nominated candidate for the State Duma election.
“We clearly understand the economic situation in the country, the political situation in the world and realistically assess our potential in Dagestan. Running for the People’s Assembly of the Republic, we set simple and goals that are close each Dagestani, and soon we will present the programme,” Esedov said.
“But already today we can announce our main party claim: return direct popular election on all the levels. We will try to achieve this by working in the State Duma. Realisation of this goal is possible in the National Assembly as well, where we count on formation of our faction which will be able to detect ad solve the problems,” Esedov noted.
