The “referendums” held on 23-27 September on the inclusion of the territories of the “Donetsk People’s Republic”, the “Luhansk People’s Republic”, parts of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the Russian Federation, their predictable results, the well-known intentions of the Russian authorities to take advantage of this, and the announcement and the course towards the “partial mobilisation” confirm the stance of the Russian United Democratic Party Yabloko regarding the obvious and inevitable consequences of such actions:
The Pskov city court found Ivan Prishchepa, Yabloko candidate at the recent elections to the Pskov Regional Assembly, guilty of “discrediting the army” (Article 20.3.3 Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The decision was made on 15 July. On 5 September, the Pskov Regional Court dismissed the complaint of Ivan Prishchepa. A fine amounting to 32,000 roubles must be paid by 5 November.

Actions of writing letters to political prisoners will be held at the regional offices of the Yabloko party. On 22 September, Tatyana Pasman, Yabloko deputy in the Pskov City Duma, addressed her parliamentary colleagues at a session of the Pskov City Duma and explained her decision to run for the post of the Chair of the Duma as follows: “The principles of democracy involve balancing the positions of the majority and the minority and providing opportunities for opposition representatives to influence the work of the parliament.
