Chair of YABLOKO Federal Political Committee Grigory Yavlinsky proposed to nominate Sergei Mitrokhin, Chair of Moscow YABLOKO, candidate for Moscow Mayor at the elections of 2018. “I think that in 2018, when the elections take place, YABLOKO will participate in them. And we will have a tandem between the candidates – presidential and mayoral. In this case I mean Sergei Mitrokhin’s candidacy,” TASS quoted Yavlinsky, who had been nominated the party candidate at the presidential elections of 2018. According to Yavlinsky, despite the fact that Mitrokhin did not get a very high result [at Moscow Mayoral elections in 2013], he was anyway “far superior to the other candidates”.
