Mitrokhin tries to stop illegal deprivation of the Third Way’s property

The agents of the Zamoskvoretsky Department of Internal Affairs continued the illegal deprivation of “The Third Way” NGO’s property. They act despite the court decision which states that the eviction is only possible after another premises for the NGO are provided. Migrant workers helped the police. YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin arrived to prevent the illegal eviction of “The Third Way”. 
Sergei Mitrokhin and the NGO’s staff member Maxim Alexeyev got into the office through a window with the help of a ladder as the police refused to let them in. Later the police officers forced Alexeyev to leave the building claiming that he didn’t have a passport. However, Sergei Mitrokhin also didn’t have his passport, but the police didnt dare to show him out. Head of “The Third Way” Vlada Raskolnikova, Mitrokhin’s adviser Sofya Rusova and YABLOKO’s press service representative were not allowed in.
The cultural centre “The third way” had been situated at Pyatnitskaya Street for 22 years. The authorities want to evict it because of the property dispute with the nearby church.
The prosecutor’s check took place at “The third way” on October 8.
