Yabloko invites everyone interested to its traditional monthly action of writing letters to political prisoners, where anyone can write a letter or sign a postcard to people deprived of their freedom for their beliefs. The party holds these actions regularly, not only in Moscow, but in many other cities across the country as well. Russian citizens can join the action in Moscow or in another city by checking the schedule of events.

This time, the action in Kirov will run over two days.

We correspond with political prisoners who have been deprived of their freedom because of their political beliefs, statements, or their peaceful civic, journalistic, creative, human-rights or political activity — provided that they have not committed, and have not called for, violent crimes.

We have developed instructions on how to write a letter to political prisoners in need of words of support. At the central office of the Yabloko party (Moscow, Pyatnitskaya, 31 bldg 2), postcards and a box for collecting letters are located in the lobby and are available to everyone during working hours. The actions will be held in Yabloko’s regional branches all over Russia from 24 September through to 4 October. The addresses of our regional branches and dates are published here and will be updated.
