Dear voters, like-minded fellow citizens and supporters,

We are continuing our election campaign: do not believe the talk and rumours that Yabloko has supposedly been “removed from the elections”.

Only the registration of the party’s federal list for the State Duma elections has been cancelled. We continue to fight for the list’s reinstatement by all lawful means: we are preparing a complaint to the Presidium of the Supreme Court, an application to the Constitutional Court, and are pursuing other legal remedies.

At the same time, Yabloko continues to take part in elections at all other levels:

Single-mandate constituencies for the State Duma: Yabloko candidates are taking part in the elections in 125 single-mandate constituencies, covering around 63.5 million voters nationwide (57% of Russia’s total electorate), who retain the opportunity to vote for the party on one of the two ballots. Candidates are standing in 51 regions; in 30 of these, every voter in the region will have the opportunity to vote for one of our single-mandate candidates, while in the remaining 21 regions this opportunity will be available only to voters in specific constituencies.

For each of our candidates, the ballot officially states their nomination by Yabloko.

Regional parliaments: party lists and single-mandate constituency candidates have been registered in five regions — the Pskov, Novgorod, Tomsk, Kaliningrad and Sverdlovsk Regions. In addition, candidates for regional parliaments have been registered in single-mandate constituencies in St. Petersburg and Karelia (where our party lists were unlawfully and groundlessly removed from the elections for political reasons).

We call on our voters to give the maximum possible support to Yabloko’s candidates and lists:

1. Becoming campaign volunteers
2. Making a donation to the party’s account
3. Becoming election observers at polling stations
4. Coming out to vote.

A vote for a Yabloko list or candidate is a vote for a ceasefire agreement, for peace, freedom and a life without fear. A vote for their competitors is support for the opposite course.

We state that all parties taking part in the elections, apart from Yabloko, are part of the current authorities, support the present course and the continuation of hostilities, and we consider voting for any of them to be ethically unacceptable and politically mistaken.

It should be noted that all the parliamentary parties have voted for repressive and restrictive laws (or initiated them), and that changing the ratio of seats between them will change nothing of substance.

It is precisely on the basis of laws supported by these parties that our fellow party members — Maxim Kruglov, Lev Shlosberg, Mikhail Afanasyev, Vasily Neustroyev, Vladimir Yefimov and Vladimir Sorokin — have been sentenced, as a rule, to lengthy terms of imprisonment, while Konstantin Smirnov and Yelena Perepelitsa remain in pre-trial detention. Thousands of other people who peacefully expressed disagreement with state policy have also been convicted under these same repressive laws.

A vote for any of these parties is a vote against a ceasefire and peace, a vote for the continuation of repression, prohibitions and the fuelling of an atmosphere of fear.

Yabloko continues the fight for peace and freedom, and for the voice of everyone who supports our position to be heard!
