The action of writing letters to political prisoners is a traditional monthly event at which anyone can write a letter or sign a postcard to people deprived of their freedom for their beliefs. Yabloko holds this event not only in Moscow but in many other cities across the country. Russian citizens wishing to join the event in Moscow or in other cities can check the schedule of events on the Yabloko web-site.

It should be noted that we correspond only with those political prisoners who have been deprived of their liberty for politically motivated reasons — on account of their beliefs, statements, or peaceful civic, journalistic, creative, human rights, or political activity — provided they have not committed or incited violent crime.

These instructions (https://www.yabloko.ru/pisma-politzekam ) will help you send a few words of support to those who need them. At Yabloko’s central party office (Moscow, Pyatnitskaya 31/2 ), postcards and a letter box are located on the ground floor and are accessible to all during office hours.
