Yabloko to sue State Duma MP Zhuravlyov over defamatory statements

Yabloko has reviewed a video recording of a speech given by State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlyov (the LDPR faction) outside the Supreme Court of Russia building.
The speech contains defamatory statements about Yabloko. A claim for the protection of the party’s reputation will be filed in court today.
Yabloko has not yet received Zhuravlyov’s claim seeking to have the party removed from the State Duma elections. The party’s position on the substance of the claims will be made public once Yabloko has reviewed the claim.
