The Sverdlovsk Region Electoral Commission has certified Yabloko’s list of candidates for the regional parliament. In Sverdlovsk Region, the party had nominated 71 candidates for the single constituency (out of a possible 78) and 23 candidates for single-mandate constituencies. More than 2,000 sheets of documents were submitted to the Electoral Commission.

Certifying the list is the second stage, after nomination, on the party’s candidates’ path to polling day. Next come the opening of a special electoral account, the verification of candidates’ documents and information and, finally, the Electoral Commission’s decision on their registration.

The region-wide part of Yabloko’s list of candidates is headed by:

– Konstantin Kiselyov, a Yabloko deputy of the Yekaterinburg City Duma, lawyer, political consultant, and Candidate of Philosophical Sciences.

– Tatyana Gorshkaleva, an engineer and member of Yabloko’s Federal Council.

– Alexei Kholodaryov, an expert in IT and business automation, and a deputy of the 7th convocation of the Yekaterinburg City Duma (2018–2023).

In addition to Sverdlovsk Region, Yabloko is taking part in legislative assembly elections in seven other regions: St. Petersburg, the Republic of Karelia, and Pskov, Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Leningrad and Moscow Regions — and has also nominated a candidate for a single-mandate constituency in the Altai Territory. To date, the party’s list has been registered in Karelia, and Yabloko candidate lists have been certified in St. Petersburg and in Novgorod and Kaliningrad Regions.
