Yabloko in Tatarstan has nominated a candidate for the Kazan City Duma

The Bureau of the regional branch of the Yabloko party in Tatarstan has nominated Sofia Fyodorova as a candidate for deputy of the Kazan City Duma in a single-mandate constituency. To be registered in the elections, the candidate needs to collect 250 signatures in support of her nomination.
Sofia Fyodorova, 21, is a lawyer, candidate member of the Yabloko party, and adviser to the Youth Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. Sofia Fyodorova is engaged in human rights activities and represents citizens’ interests in courts of general jurisdiction. In the Yabloko party, Sofia is involved in drafting legal documents, organises public events, promotes youth policies and proposes projects to improve the region.
Yabloko in Tatarstan is approaching these elections with faith in people, honest politics and the belief that change begins with us. Sofia Fyodorova’s campaign will be conducted under the slogan “For Peace and Freedom! For the Ceasefire Agreement!”.
Yabloko calls its members and supporters for help with collection of signatures in favour of Sofia’s registration.
The elections in Kazan will take place on the single voting day – 14 September.
