Yabloko will hold actions in support of political prisoners in its offices all over Russia in the coming days. Everyone who would like to help politicians and civil activists who were unjustly convicted or are under investigation is invited to join our actions. Participants of the actions can sign postcards printed by the Yabloko party or bring ordinary letters. Regional offices of Yabloko take up the obligation to send all the letters and postcards to the addressees.

The Gilel Storch Award is an international award and, according to its public declaration, is given to individuals who, through outstanding activities, have contributed to promoting democratic, universal, and humanistic values in the spirit of Gilel Storch.

On 6 May, on the threashold of Victory Day, Chairman of the Yabloko party Nikolai Rybakov, on behalf of all Yabloko members, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow.
“When I come to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin wall, or Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, or the Piskarevskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg, or to other mass graves, I think again and again about what an incredible price was paid for peace and how fragile it turned out to be. The real memory of those who died in the Second World War would be a peaceful sky above us, over all of Europe, over the whole world. And our responsibility is to return this world and stop killing of people,” Rybakov stressed.

The complaint of the lawyer of the St. Petersburg Yabloko Andrei Chertkov against the actions of the investigator, who seized the paintings of the artist Yelena Osipova, is subject to consideration on the merits in the Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg. This decision was made by the St. Petersburg City Court on Wednesday, 10 May. The hearings were also attended by Alexander Shishlov, head of the regional branch of the Yabloko party and the leader of the Yabloko faction in the Legislative Assembly of St.Petersburg.

The Vasileostrovsky District Court of St.Petersburg declared unlawful the refusal of the local administration of Murino (the Leningrad region) to approve a rally against electronic military draft papers, which the St. Petersburg Yabloko announced for 29 April. The local administration must reconsider the notice of Yabloko for holding a rally. The decision enters into force with immediate effect. The hearing took place on Wednesday, 26 April.
