YABLOKO’s activists participated in international action “Free Evgeny Vitishko!”

Activists of Amnesty International, Ecooborona and YABLOKO expressed protest against the sentence to Evgeny Vitishko.
The international action “Free Evgeny Vitishko!” began on February 28. Rallies, pickets and flash mobs will take place in different cities of the world over a period of seven days. The goal of the action is to attract the attention to the enormously unjust sentence – three years in colony for environment protection.

I have been in the court at one of the trials, and I followed the trial closely. It is absolutely obvious that the sentences [to the defendenats] are not based on law or justice. They are politically biased.

The verdict on the Bolotnaya Rally case is unlawful

The YABLOKO party expresses its protest against a demonstratively horrible sentences to the defendants in the Bolotnaya Rally case, who received from 2.5 to 4 years in a penal colony. The fact that these people have stayed in remand prison for several months already represents unjustified cruelty absolutely inadequate to the charges brought against them, moreover the charges have not been completely proved.
