Candidates for deputies to the City Council of Karabulak, nominated by the Ingush regional branch of the Yabloko party, submitted to the electoral commission the documents and voters’ signatures collected in support of their nomination and required for registration. The territorial electoral commission of Karabulak will have to check all the submitted documents and signatures, and then make a decision on registration until 3 August.

On Saturday 27 June, after the mass arrest of participants of the action in support of unregistered candidates for the elections to the Moscow City Duma, Nikolai Rybakov, Deputy Chairman of the Yabloko party, published a petition on the change.org platform.
Yesterday they beat and detained Russian citizens in Moscow, those who dared to defend their rights, speak out against humiliation and disrespect, express their outrage and protest against the perversion of the meaning of the elections in a peaceful and completely civil manner.
Vladimir Kara-Murza Sr. was a very good person and journalist – serious and deep. The best of his creative years fell on the time of our common hopes for change. He in many ways personified the true freedom of speech.
Candidates nominated by the Yabloko party are in the process of receiving registration for election campaigns at different levels throughout the country.
Alexander Sorokin, Chairman of the regional branch of the party in the Tver region and environmentalist, will take part in the by-election to the Legislative Assembly of the Tver Region in constituency No. 19. Sergei Trapeznikov, former head of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Tomsk Region, will run in the election of deputies of the Legislative Duma of the Tomsk Region in district No. 5.
Over 3,000 people came out to protest against criminal arbitrariness of the authorities in banning opposition to run in the municipal and gubernatorial elections in St. Petersburg. The rally was organised with the support of the regional branch of the Yabloko party. Boris Vishnevsky, head of the Yabloko faction in the Legislative Assembly of St.Petersburg, and Maxim Katz, head of the Yabloko election headquarters in the municipal elections in St. Petersburg, addressed the rally.

We are outraged by the transformation of the elections to the Moscow City Duma into a kind of special forces raid. The launch of a repressive machine demonstrates the inadequacy of the authorities, their fear of free and independent people.

According to the Constitution of the Russian Federation (Article 18), the rights and freedoms of a person and citizen determine the meaning, content and application of laws, as well as the meaning of the activities of state and municipal bodies, including electoral commissions, which are endowed by law with certain powers of all the three branches of power, including implementation of the function of justice in the consideration of complaints of violation of constitutional electoral rights.
The police refused to initiate a criminal case on threats to Nikita Antonenko, activist of the Nizhny Novgorod Yabloko and candidate for deputy in the Nizhny Novgorod Duma in single-mandate constituency No. 24. According to law enforcement officers, they did not identify any real threat to Yabloko’s candidate.
Representatives of the Yabloko party will take part in 14 election campaigns of different levels in 13 regions of the Russian Federation. In many regions, registration of candidates has not ended yet. Many Yabloko candidates have not been registered in the elections or are facing difficulties with being registered in the race.
Sergei Mitrokhin, Yabloko’s candidate to the Moscow City Duma for electoral district No 43 and member of the Federal Political Committee of the Yabloko Party, participated in the meeting of unregistered candidates to the Moscow parliament with Ella Pamfilova, head of the Central Electoral Commission. Mitrokhin stated that the procedure of verification of signatures by electoral commissions was completely “discredited and delegitimised,” therefore the only way out of this situation is registration of all candidates who have collected the required number of voters’ signatures.
Nikolai Rybakov, Deputy Chairman of the Yabloko party and head of its election headquarters, sent five complaints to the Moscow Electoral Commission on the refusal of district electoral commissions to register Yabloko candidates for the Moscow City Duma elections. Yesterday, district electoral commissions refused to register Andrei Babushkin (district No. 11), Anastasia Bryukhanova (district No. 42), Kirill Goncharov (district No. 32), Sergei Mitrokhin (district No. 43) and Yelena Rusakova (district No. 37).
The St. Petersburg regional branch of the Yabloko party will take part in a rally against arbitrariness in the elections, which will be held in Lenin Square by the Finlandskiy Railway Station on 24 July at 19:00. Representatives of about 30 political parties, public movements and organisations of St. Petersburg plan to attend the rally.
The conference of the Ingush regional branch of the Yabloko party nominated a list of candidates for deputies of the Karabulak City Council. On July 22, the Territorial Electoral Commission of the city of Karabulak certified the list of candidates for deputies of the City Council nominated by Yabloko.
A rally organised with support of the Yabloko party and demanding the registration of all independent candidates for the Moscow City Duma elections was held in Moscow in Sakharov Prospect. Over 20,000 people took part in the action. Three of the five candidates from Yabloko, who were withdrawn from the elections, were among the first to speak.
On Saturday, 6 July, Yabloko candidates for the Moscow City Duma will hold a briefing on the progress of the subscription campaign and answer journalists’ questions in the central headquarters of Yabloko (Pyatnitskaya, 31 bldg. 2). The briefing starts at 11:00.

The Tula branch of Yabloko nominated a list of candidates to run in the City Duma elections. It includes 20 candidates sharing democratic values. Yabloko Chair Emilia Slabunova came to support the team of the regional branch.
Over a week they have been struggling with the consequences of terrible flooding in the Irkutsk region. It is already known about 20 dead and 15 missing, 6.700 houses and 32,000 people are in the disaster area, over 2.500 people are evacuated.
