Sochi Winter Olympics: IOC ask Russian authorities for explanation over Yevgeny Vitishko sentence
The Sydney Morning Herald, Press Release, 13.02.2014 Olympics chiefs have sent a ‘please explain’ to Russian authorities after a Sochi environmentalist was sentenced to three years in a penal colony for damaging a fence. Yevgeny Vitishko, a 40-year-old geologist, had campaigned against the environmental damage caused by the development of Sochi for the Winter Olympics.

Public Prosecutor detected encroachment of the law in the criminal case against Andrei Rudomakha
Press Release, 14.02.2014 Public Prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory detected encroachment of the law in a criminal case for “slander against the judge” filed on YABLOKO’s Andrei Rudomakha.
