On the necessity of investigation of Valeri Donskoy’s death
Statement by YABLOKO Chairman, 14.10.2014 On October 10 a journalist, radio and TV reporter, ex editor-in-chief of the Crimean radio station “Electron” Valeri Donskoy died with pneumonia in Moscow. Valeri had been working in Ukraine for the past months and was captured in Eastern Ukriane at the end of September.

Two thousand people from 23 countries demand from Kolokoltsev to investigate attack on Lev Shlosberg

Youth YABLOKO conducted action demanding to investigate murder of Timur Kuashev
Press Release, 09.10.2014 Youth YABLOKO’s Nikolai Kavkazsky, Maria Yefimova, Elena Kriven and Igor Bakirov brought claims demanding to investigate the murder of YABLOKO member and opposition journalist Timur Kuashev to Prosecutor General’s office and the Investigative Committee. They also conducted one-person picketing.

In Memoriam: Eight years since the murder of Anna Politkovskaya, journalist and human rights activist
Based on blog posts by Boris Visnevsky and Dmitry Florin, 7.10.2014 Today, October 7th, is the eighth anniversary of the murder of Anna Politkovskaya, journalist and human rights activist. Anna wrote a lot on the war in Chechnya calling to stop the war. Those who ordered the murder havn’t been found up to now.

Non-parliamentary parties will be given the floor at State Duma once in seven years

Criminal case in connection with beating of Peace March participants in Kaliningrad hasn’t been filed yet

Court left Vitishko in colony
Press Release, 24.09.2014 The Krasnodar regional court dismissed the Krasnosar regional prosecutor’s citation on cancelation of the decision to turn the suspended sentence to Evgeny Vitishko into a full tree year jail term. Russian authorities must end impunity for attacks on journalists, says OSCE Representative following another attack in Pskov
OSCE, 30.08.2014 VIENNA, 30 August 2014 – OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović today called for the Russian authoities to fully investigate and prosecute all attacks on journalists following an attack against journalist Lev Schlosberg in Pskov, in western Russia.

Attack on and severe injury of Lev Shlosberg is political revenge
Statement by the YABLOKO party, 30.08.2014 Lev Shlosberg, Chair of the Pskov branch of YABLOKO, was attacked and severely injured last night. He is in hospital in the state of moderately grave condition. Fortunately, there is no threat to his life already.
