Journalist Andrei Nekrasov may get political asylum in Lithuania
Press release, 12.08.2015 YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin expressed his satisfaction with the fact that Andrei Nekrasov, journalist from Udmuria Republic, Russia, obtained an opportunity to get political asylum in Lithuania. Today Cyprus refused to extradite Nekrasov to Russia and took a decision to return him to Vilnus.

Farm of YABLOKO candidate to Legislative Assembly of Novosibirsk region burnt down
Press release, 03.08.2015 The farm of Valeri Turkov, YABLOKO candidate to the Legislative Assmeby of the Novosibirsk region, was burnt down in the Novosibirsk region on August 2. The owner suspects that it was a planned arson. YABLOKO doesn’t exclude the possibility of political persecution. However, the results of expert examination aren’t ready yet.

Evgeny Vitishko was denied release on parole
Press release, 01.08.2015 The Kirsanovsky district court of the Tambov region refused to release environmentalist Evgeny Vitishko on parole. Earlier Vitishko’s lawyer Sergei Loktev filed a motion suggesting that Vitishko should be released on parole as having served most of his imprisonment term. The defense plans to appeal against the decision.
