Yabloko announces the start of the municipal election campaign in Moscow
The Yabloko is announcing the start of the municipal election campaign in Moscow and is inviting civil activists, who want to participate in the elections, to become Yabloko’s candidates.
Those who want to participate in the campaign can fill in a form on the party website leaving their contact details as well as information about their experience.
The applications will be considered by the election campaign headquarters, which is headed by municipal deputy Yelena Rusakova.
“The Yabloko party is the only democratic force in Moscow which does not bear the burden of voting for anti-orphan law [law banning the adoption of Russian orphans by U.S. citizens], foreign agents law, the law on housing demolitions in Moscow,” runs Yabloko’s address signed by its leaders Emilia Slabunova, Grigory Yavlinsky and Sergei Mitrokhin.
“The latest developments connected with the renovation programme in Moscow show that it is very important for the Muscovites to return the right to [dispose of] their city. This can be done only if we have a large number of municipal deputies,” Emilia Slabunova said.
“Yabloko will participate in the municipal elections in order to get the situation in the city to the right, to take local issues under control. Yabloko’s candidates in the eyes of the voters is someone who will always stand by the residents and actively work to improve the situation for the better,” Yabloko leaders claim.
