Representatives of Yabloko in Strasbourg are actively
seeking to restore the proxies of the delegation of
the Federal Assembly of the RF at the Parliamentary
Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) session.
Deputy Chairman of the Yabloko faction and member
of the delegation Sergei Ivanenko reported by phone
from Strasbourg (the regular session of PACE opened
on June 26) that today the liberal group (80 parliament
members, the third largest group in PACE) had discussed
at its meeting relationships between Russia and PACE.

Yavlinsky
says Russian security taps phones, bullies supporters

Grigory Yavlinsky, Russia's best-known liberal
politician, Thursday accused the country's internal-security
forces of tapping his telephones and trying to coerce
supporters to spy on him.
Yabloko
will support the law “On the Procedure Governing the
Formation of the Federation Council” provided that
the amendments to democratise the procedure are adopted
The Yabloko faction will support the law “On the
Procedure for Forming the Federation Council” providing
that the amendments targeted at its democratisation
are adopted. Such a decision was taken at a meeting
of the faction on June 22, 2000.
Yabloko
will vote for the value-added tax provided amendments
of the Budget Committee are taken into account.
The Yabloko faction will support in the second reading
the draft of Part 2 of the Tax Code on VAT, provided
that the amendments approved by the Budget Committee
are considered.
Yabloko:
constructive dialogue with PACE offers the best protection
of Russia’s interests
The Yabloko association sent deputies of the State
Duma Sergei Ivanenko and Alexander Shishlov to the
regular meeting of PACE and financed this trip.
Such a decision was taken by the leadership of the
Association on June 22, 2000, after the delegation
of the Federation Assembly of Russia refused to participate
in its regular session, due to open on June 26.

The deputy of the State Duma from the Yabloko faction
Alexandr Shishlov said that the refusal of the delegation
of the Federal Assembly of Russia to participate in

26, is a “political error”.

says federal agents approached two students active
in its ranks and gave them an ultimatum: Spy on

Suzdal, have laid out their allegations in a letter
