Ekaterinburg. ROSSIISKAYA GAZETA ( MOSCOW ). After
their failure during the State Duma elections, the members of the right-wing
blocs started negotiating their actions to win in the regions. Joint factions
have been already created in Altai Territory, St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk
region and some other regions where local administration polls will be
held at the same time as the presidential election on March 14. Meanwhile,
the right-wing bloc has faced problems with the election committee a month
before the election.
The bloc came into conflict with the Sverdlovsk regional election committee
which made it impossible for the right-wing party to participate in the
elections to the local legislative assembly through the protracted registration
of the political union "SPS and Yabloko".
Some other opposition parties were also hit hard by the regional election
committee deals. The feelings of the right-wing were hurt considerably
as the December elections had proved that both the Union of the Right-Wing
Forces (SPS) and Yabloko held fairly strong positions in Sverdlovsk region.
