Writer Vasil Bykov congratulates Grigory Yavlinsky on his anniversary:
- I deeply respect the principled position of Grigory Alexeevich.
For many years he has consistently defended real liberalism in
Russia. I am well aware that his politics, ideology and principles
are also highly estimated and respected abroad, and in my native
Belarus as well. Once on a television programme I heard Grigory
Alexeevich talking about his youth and first work experience.
I took everything I heard to heart. It sounded very interesting
and charming. I know that Yavlinsky comes from Western Ukraine,
and I think that democratic forces both in Russia and Ukraine
have every reason to be proud of such a politician. Most of all
I would like to wish Grigory Alexeevich, a young man, full of
vitality, energy and enthusiasm, political success in managing
YABLOKO and YABLOKO's serious success in public and political
life.
