International conference Algorithms of Opposing Gender Discrimination to take place in Moscow

International conference Algorithms of Opposing Gender Discrimination: the International and the Russian Experience will take place in Moscow, Marriott Tverskaya hotel, on Saturday March 12. The conference is held jointly by ELDR with the support of the European Parliament and YABLOKO.

Women representatives of the European Parliament, PACE, UNESCO, as well as political parties of the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Moldova and Estonia will participate in the conference.

The anchor at the conference will be Chair of YABLOKOs Gender Faction Galina Mikhalyova.

Representatives of the Council for Consolidation of Womens Movement, the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology, the Institute of USA and Canada, the Centre of Social and Labour Rights, the Higher School of Economics, St.Petersburg State University and Moscow International University will participate in the discussions.

The conference will have two panels: International Experience of Opposing Gender Discrimination: Comparative Analysis of Efficiency and The Goals of Opposing Gender Discrimination: the Russian Agenda. Each of the panels is subdivided into reports and discussions.

The conference will begin at 11 a.m.
