On Monday, June 7, 2010, YABLOKO’s leader Sergei Mitrokhin
will start litigation in the Moscow City Court disputing lawfulness
of the General Plan of Moscow Development
“The conclusion of the state expertise was signed on December
22, 2009, a month after the draft General Plan of Moscow Development
was submitted to the Moscow City Duma. This fact alone will
suffice for abrogation, however, in our statement we indicate
a number of other procedural violations,” Sergei Mitrokhin
said.
YABLOKO’s leader is certain that “after the General Plan
comes into force, another wave of in-fill construction, as
well as cutting of parks and gardens will begin in Moscow”.
After submitting the application to court Sergei Mitrokhin
will answer journalists’ questions at the briefing by the
Moscow City Court building (Address: Bogorodsky Val, 8).
The briefing will begin at 10:00.
