US President Barack Obama admits that deployment of the US ABM system in Europe is prone of conflicts, said Sergei Mitrokhin, leader of the YABLOKO party, after today’s meeting of Barack Obama with the Russian oppositions.
“President Obama replied that he was in a process of reviewing the decisions on deployment of the ABM system and did not rule out the possibility of creation of new security architecture,” Mitrokhin said.
In his turn YABLOKO’s leader proposed creation of a joint Russian-American ABM system “which will be able to solve the problem of refuting nuclear terrorists’ threats and join together two the most powerful nuclear potentials”. “Iran only profits from deployment of the US ABM system in Europe, as it is a symbol of discord between the two super powers,” Mitrokhin noted.
