A regular meeting of the Bureau of the YABLOKO party took place
on June 27.
YABLOKO’s Chairman Sergei Mitrokhin and members of the Political
Committee Sergei Ivanenko and Grigory Yavlinsky reported on
their meeting with President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev which
took place on June 11 in Barvikha.
The Bureau also discussed YABLOKO’s participation in the
regional elections in Moscow and Tula, pre-term election in
the Leningrad region and participation in municipal elections.
The Bureau discussed preparations for the election to the
Moscow City Duma which will take place on October 11. The
Bureau entrusted the Moscow branch of the party to form a
list of candidates and recommended to the Conference of the
Moscow YABLOKO that representatives of democratic forces sharing
the key principles and values outlined in the decision of
the Political Committee of February 28, 2009, should be included
into the candidates list.
The Bureau also discussed a number of organisational issues.
In particular it adopted a plan of activities for the second
half of 2009 and priority goals of the party and its regional
branches for summer 2009.
The meeting also heard information on the audit of YABLOKO’s
regional branches by the Ministry of Justice of the RF and
the performance of its regional branches in January - June
2009. Also members of the Bureau discussed a new layout of
the party web-site.
