On May 9 activists and leaders of the YABLOKO party participated in the mourning ceremony at Preobrazhenskoye cemetery in Moscow, where thousands of Muscovites – soldiers and officers who died during the Second World War – are buried.
YABLOKO activists laid wreathes and flowers to the Eternal Flame by the Bed of Honour of Soldiers who fell in the fights against fascism.
YABLOKO’s leader Sergei Mitrokhin, Chair of the Moscow YABLOKO organisation Anton Goretzky, members of the party Bureau Alexander Kuznetzov and Alexei Melnikov took part in the ceremony.
It has already become YABLOKO’s tradition to come on May 9 to Preobrazhenskoye cemetery to commemorate the soldiers who died in the Second World War.
