The Yabloko party supports the international policies adopted by the
President of the Russian Federation regarding the acts of terror in the
USA on September 11, 2001. This was confirmed by the leader of the
Yabloko party Grigory Yavlinsky after the meeting of the President of
Russia with the leaders of the Duma factions and deputies groups which took place in the Kremlin on October 23, 2001.

In particular, Yabloko approves the signing by President Putin and
President Bush of a special joint declaration in Shanghai.

Yabloko also expresses its solidarity with the declaration made by the
Russian President made in Dushanbe on the inadmissibility of any
representation of the Taliban in the new Afghan government.

In addition, during this meeting Yavlinsky handed to the President four
volumes of the draft alternative budget for 2002 and the main guidelines of the economic policy of the Russian Federation for 2002-2004 prepared by Yabloko. Yabloko's draft budget was calculated on the basis of oil prices at USD 18 per barrel. The draft also envisages mechanisms for compensating for the loss of budget revenues proceeding from the concept that had already been approved.

Regarding the budget Grigory Yavlinsky confirmed that Yabloko would
still insist on financing of the military reform next year and that these
expenditures should amount to 30 billion roubles.

With the support of the leader of the Union of Right-Wing Forces (SPS) faction Boris Nemtsov, Yavlinsky asked the President to review his position regarding pension reform and support Yabloko's draft law on granting the Pension Fund the status of state institution.
