Grigory Yavlinsky’s programme at the International Economic Forum in Salzburg

The meeting of the International Economic Forum, also known as the “summer Davos” will take place in Salzburg, Austria, on July 1-3, 2001. The summer meetings of the Forum are traditionally devoted to European problems.

Two sessions will cover Russian problems. On July 2, the key reports on the situation in Russia’s economy and forms of development will be made by the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Jean Lemier.

Grigory Yavlinsky, television journalist Vladimir Pozdner and others will speak at the session “Forecast for Europe: Russia and Europe” on the same day.

Yavlinsky will close the meeting of the Forum this year, conducting the final session that will focus on the main problems that Western, Central and the Eastern Europe will have to face in the near future.
