The Youth Organisation of Yabloko in Moscow plans a protest action against imports of nuclear waste to Russia, The action is scheduled for April 18, 2001.

For two days the young activists of Yabloko will distribute leaflets among deputies, Duma staff and passers-by at the two main entrances to the Duma.

One side of the leaflet pictures a US dollar bill, while the other side bears an inscription "This is your share in turning Russia into a nuclear waste dump."

Tomorrow the State Duma plans to consider at its second reading the package of laws on importing and utilising nuclear waste in Russia.
