Fire resulting from an arson fire has completely destroyed the office of "Vechrniy Krasnokamsk" weekly this night. The founder and editor-in-chief of the weekly is Olga Kolokolova, leader of the Perm YABLOKO branch and deputy of the City Council in Krasnokamsk. Olga believes that it is a revenge by Yury Chechyotkin, the city Mayor, for journalists investigation into his embezzlement of budget funds allocated for housing repairs in the city.

Around 4:00 a.m. local time, an unknown man broke an office window and threw in a Molotov cocktail inside. In several minutes the office was completely burnt. The fire destroyed the equipment, accounting records and archives of the newspaper. Kolokolova estimated the total damage at 300,000 rubles (approx. USD 10,000).

CCTV cameras recorded the attacker. Judging by its actions, he was a professional. He knew in what rooms the office of the paper was located and where the camera was.

Olga Kolokolova links the arson with anti-corruption investigations undertaken by her paper. In particular, "Vechrniy Krasnokamsk" wrote about the large-scale embezzlement of budget funds during housing repairs. According to the newspaper, Krasnokamsk Mayor Yury Chechyotkin was behind all this.

In April 2011, unknown persons assailants beat Olga Kolokolovas father deputy of the Krasnokamsk City Duma Arkady Kolokolov. He helped the crew of the "Riphey-Perm" television company, which investigated the circumstances of the repairs in the TSZh Parkovoi. The contractor hired by the managing company providing services for the house received 4.5 million rubles, but the works were not completed.

In view of all this Olga Kolokolova noted police inaction in Krasnokamsk. She said that she and her colleagues applied 50 times to police in connection with corruption in city government, but not a single criminal case was filed.

In addition, in November 2011, on the eve of the parliamentary elections of December 4, 2011 and the Legislative Assembly of the Perm Area, Svetlana Ivanova, candidate from the YABLOKO party was attacked by an unidentified person. She was hit on the head, the blow broke the frontal bone. She will remain disabled.

The police have not yet informed YABLOKO and the victim of this crime of the investigation of this case.
