Interfax, 24.04.2012. YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin doubts that the acting President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev will be able to do more for liberalisation of Russias political system at the Prime Minister post than now.

"I doubt that in his new post he will do more for realisation [of this] than at present. And he has not done much for this at the post of the President, Mitrokhin told to Interfax.

Also Mitrokhin states that with transition to premiership from presidency Dmitry Medvedev will have less powers for implementation of his own initiatives than at the post of the President of Russia.

"When speaking about his plans Medvedev has forgotten that he will be only Prime Minister. On many issues Vladimir Putins position is obviously different, Mitrokhin says.

On Tuesday during the State Council meeting, the acting president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev said that "freedom is better than lack of freedom was his political creed.
