The decision made by the Supreme Court was apparently predetermined.
It is a political decision, in fact it had nothing to do with
the Central Electoral Commission or a trial. But for us all
what happened today - our complaint and its examination
was not just a formality. It is important for us to go through
the whole procedure prescribed by law until the end. We act
according to the law, the law is on our side, and time will
put everything in its place and I think this will happen soon.
Certainly, we are right not only legally. It was very important
to give [legal] arguments and we did this, but there is also
common sense. And it prompts that only according to official
estimates of the CEC, much more than two million voters voted
for us at the parliamentary elections [of December 4, 2011].
Considering the fact that a draft law targeted at reduction
of the number of signatures for presidential candidates from
[non-parliamentary] parties to 100,000 had been already submitted
to the State Duma, the trial about 2 million signatures is
simply absurd.
The fact that we demonstrated this nonsense to everyone in
Russia was also part of our work.
Once again I would like to thank all of you who participated
in the collection of signatures, who helped to collect them
and who signed up. Your political position can not be cancelled,
and eventually it is the most important achievement of this
campaign for collection of voters signatures.
We have used all the opportunities so that to continue the
line of our parliamentary campaign targeted at conscientious
participation of people, citizens in the political process.
In my opinion, we have succeeded.
We will continue. We will build the future of our country.
