On February 7, the day of celebration of the "Year
of the Olympic Games" in Sochi, environmentalists from
the Kudepasta village opposing the construction of the Kudepsta
thermal electric power station in the area and YABLOKO activists
of the Sochi branch of YABLOKO conducted an action targeted
at drawing public attention to the environmental problems
in the region and maintaining of healthy environment.
For an hour before a concert in Sochi the activists were
distributing air balloons with the words "No to the construction
of the Kudepsta thermal electric power station".
Children were happy to take the balloons and their parents
showed interest to the problem and expressed their solidarity
with the environmentalists.
