A rally for fair elections and against election fraud have just ended at Bolotnaya square, Moscow. The rally organised by the YABLOKO party have gathered 5,000 people. Grigory Yavlinsky, Vladimir Milov, leader of the Democratic Choice movement, Vladimir Ryzhkov, co-chair of PARNAS, representatives of Just Russia Dmitry Gudkov and Ilya Ponomaryov, Boris Nadezhdin, head of the Moscow region branch of the Right Cause, leaders of public organisations and movements and citizens who acted as observers at the election of December 4 spoke at the rally.


The resolution of the rally was read by Grigory Yavlinsky. The participants of the rally demanded immediate release of all those detained during protest actions against election fraud, abrogation of the results of the voting, investigation of the fraud and punishment of those guilty of fraud.


Also the resolution contains a demand to dismiss head of the Central Electoral Commission Vladimir Churov and dissolve the vertical of electoral commissions, immediate registration of all the political parties and conducting of new elections with participation of newly registered parties.

Yavlinsky called to continue protest actions against election fraud and make a Churov list which would include names of electoral commissions heads at the polling stations demonstrating mass-scale fraud and violations. He also called the participants of the rally to become observers at presidential elections and also participate in municipal elections of March 4.

We are the citizens! We determine who is the authority! We will defend our votes! We are for a democratic Russia! The authorities should be controlled by the citizens! Russia demands changes! concluded Yavlinsky.
