Unknown persons plan to disrupt a rally Chelyabinsk for the Changes! organised by YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin and Eugenia Chirikova, leader of Movement in Protection of Khimki Forest, in Chelyabinsk.

The city is full of flyers allegedly on behalf of the YABLOKO party inviting the residents to come to the rally for a fee of 1,500 roubles. Also several YABLOKO activists and supporters got SMS where they were warned of a possible fight between anarchists and neo-Nazis that may take place at the rally.

The rally will be held tomorrow, on November 19, at 2 p.m. in the Aloye Polye garden. It is planned that YABLOKOs action will bring together civil society activists and representatives of initiative groups - defenders of the Chelyabinsk City Park, movement in defense of the Organ Hall and other.

Leader of the Movement to Defence of Khimki Forest Eugenia Chirikova will arrive to the city from Moscow tomorrow. YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin will also take part in the action during his one-day working visit to Chelyabinsk.

YABLOKO activists are convinced that the ruling United Russia party is standing behind the provocations. In early November, it became known that United Russia had developed a set of recommendations for "the elimination of political rivals" for their electoral head-quarters. These recommendations envisage measures to suppress the activity of the street opposition. Thus, it was proposed that this party should engaged informal leaders and athletes for operational solutions of problems with pickets and demonstrations.

Representatives of the YABLOKO party have already handed to the police department of the Chelyabinsk region their formal appeal to police demanding to ensure full safety for the participants of the sanctioned rally.
