| Prominent writers Boris Strugatsky and Nina Katerly and
Samuel Lurier, writer and journalist, signed up for the registration
of YABLOKOs list of candidates to the Legislative Assembly
of St. Petersburg.
Earlier, musician Yury Shevchuk, film director Alexander
Sokurov, writer Daniil Granin and well-known activists fighting
for protection of St.Petersburg historic buildings and city
environment historian Alexander Margolis and Julia Minutina,
Coordinator of the Live City movement, put their signatures
for YABLOKOs list.
St.Petersburg branch of YABLOKO has been collecting signatures
for registration of its list of candidates in the election
campaign to the Legislative Assembly. YABLOKO must collect
40,000 signatures to get registration in the campaign.
YABLOKO's list fi candidates in St.Petersburg is topped by
Dr.Grigory Yavlinsky, YABLOKO's founder, ex Deputy Prime Minister
of Russia and renowned economist.
