Sergei Mitrokhin arrived to Novosibirsk to encourage the regional YABLOKO branch to more active work on the threashold of the State Duma elections

Leader of the YABLOKO party Sergei Mitrokhin arrived to Novosibirsk on July 20 so that to intensify the work of the regional office on the eve of the State Duma elections. According to Mitrokhin, Oleg Donskikh can head the party branch in Novosibirsk. Donskikh is at present the authorized representative of the party in the region, reports Taiga-Info correspondent on July 20.

"I'm not very much pleased with the work of the Novosibirsk branch, Mitorkhin said at his meeting with journalists. I believe that the potential of the YABLOKO party in the Novosibirsk region and Novosibirsk city, although very large, has not been fully realised. So now we are conducting reorganisation, re-registration of party members and formation of a new team of activists. Oleg Donskikh is a person crystallising around him a new team of activists. But the old party members are not going away, not a coup or a split in the party. Nevertheless, we are focused on bringing new persons to the management team. "

Sergei Mitrokhin will meet the new team of party activists in Novosibirsk so that to discuss the ways out of the crisis in the party branch and preparations for elections and a party conference which will elect the new leadership of the regional office. "This will happen in the next month. In early September we will have party Congress party, where I hope to see delegates from the Novosibirsk region," said YABLOKOs leader.

At present Doctor of Philosophy Oleg Donskikh is the authorized party representative in the Novosibirsk. According to Mitrokhin, it is not ruled out that he will head the regional YABLOKO branch after reorganisation. Mitrokhin also said that the party plans to get into the Duma overcoming a seven per cent barrier, and noted that the federal list in the parliamentary elections may be topped by Grigory Yavlinsky.
