A rally against the ruling United Russia party held in Yaroslavl

A rally against the ruling United Russia party was organised by the local YABLOKO branch in Yaroslavl. YABLOKOs leader Sergei Mitrokhin also participated in the action. The rally gathered about 150 people.

Now we have a popular slogan that United Russia a party of petty thieves. I disagree here, they are large thieves, Mitrokhin said in his speech. According to Mitrokhin, bureaucrats and oligarchs who are joined together in the United Russia party have been staling everything that can be stolen: from plots of land to community charges. He gave an example of the city park, on the few survived after cutting of Yaroslavl parks under construction sites developed by the company of local oligarch Panyukov.

We ourselves are to blame that we are robbed of, he said. We resemble the people who have burglars in their house but do not want to catch them under the pretext that they are tired, Mitrokhin added. He also said that if such a trend went on, the country would simply cease to exist and called everyone not to miss but vote in the coming elections.

Alexander Simon, head of the local YABLOKO branch said that the municipal authorities headed by their Mayor Volonchunas had decided to privities the water canal, which would lead to the rise of water tariffs and loss of control over the corresponding communal service. YABLOKO will try to put this question to the city referendum, he said.

Former MP Eugenia Tishkovskaya called the people to unite around YABLOKO and win over the party of thieves.
