| On June 22 a meeting of the working group created by the
Bureau of the party on behalf of the 15th Congress of YABLOKO
was held. The group has to summarize proposals, comments and
amendments to YABLOKOs programme.
Opening the meeting, Boris Misnik, head of the working group,
the coordinator of the Political Committee of the party, spoke
about the progress in further development of the party programme
and proposals made by party members. "A large number
of party members and supporters were involved into such work.
In total the web-site of the party received over thirty-five
written proposals and critical remarks, many of them will
be reflected in a draft election platform of the Party,"
he said.

Margarita Sukhanova, member of the working group, who led
the work on updating the Democratic Manifesto of the party,
noted that "programme documents have to foreground our
ideological positions: commitment to democracy, pluralism,
internationalism, because for many people it remains unclear
and often we receive proposals clashing with our principles."

Galina Mikhalyova, head of YABLOKOs Gender Faction, said
that in her opinion, "there is no need to invent entirely
new schemes, approaches and principles, because our previous
programme principles have not been implemented in the country,
moreover, Russias political system has been developing in
the opposite direction."

Anatoly Rabinovich, Chairman of the Children's Commission
and a member of YABLOKOs Social Democratic Faction, said
that in his opinion, the programme should contain a section,
"reflecting principled positions and proposals of the
party in the development of the social sphere in Russia."
Ivan Bolshakov, Deputy Chair of the Moscow branch of the
party, voiced the Concept of the Programme made on the basis
of previous policy documents and policy decisions of the governing
bodies of the party.The Working Group decided to recommend
to the Bureau of the party to accept this text as a basis
for further work.

Also, an alternative programme was presented by Yuri Lyalin,
member of the "Green Russia" Faction and environmentalist,
however, the Working Group considered this draft not quite
developed.
