Parties’ Council gave its recommendations to the candidate on the post of the Moscow Mayor

The Parties’ Public Consultative Council with the Moscow parliament (the Moscow City Duma) sent today a letter to Sergei Sobyanin, candidate to the post of the Mayor of Moscow proposed by the President to the Moscow City Duma. The address contains ten paragraphs in total representing definite measures for improvement of socioeconomic situation in Moscow.

A considerable part of such measures refer to the construction complex. The Council demands to abolish and review the General Plan of Moscow Development meanwhile setting a moratorium on commercial construction, conduct landmarking and prohibit construction in public lands.

The Council also noted that social guarantees should be maintained and further developed, commercialization of the budget sector is inadmissible.

The Council offered anticorruption measures, such as creation of a public council for anticorruption expertise of law, formulation of anticorruption rules for state officials in laws, and dismissals of officials submitting false data in their income declarations.

The address was supported by representatives of five parties: CPRF, LDPR, Patriots of Russia, The Right Course and YABLOKO.
