A press conference on the results of elections in the Stavropol
Area took place in the state television company Stavropolye
on October 13.
Euvgeni Demyanov, Chair of the Stavropol Electoral Commission,
Azhdaut Ibragimov, director of the Stavropol radio and heads
of regional branches of political parties participated in
the press conference.
Euvgeni Demyanov stated that the recent elections embraced
86 municipalities of the Area and over 300,000 citizens participated
in the voting. All the elections in the Area were recognized
valid.
Regional branches of all Russian parties participated in
the elections. The ruling United Russia was the winner of
the race and its opponents, LDPR, the Communist Party and
Just Russia will also get deputies mandates. The YABLOKO party
demonstrated a 100 per cent result, both its two registered
candidates were elected to the local representative bodies.
